Yoda Discovered in Medieval Document!

Medieval Monsters is a new picture book, published by the British Library, historian Damien Kempf and art historian Maria L. Gilbert have gathered together some illustrations that highlight the great monsters of the medieval world.

But did you noticed something familiar? It's Yoda from Star Wars!! This Yoda image comes from a 14th-century manuscript known as the Smithfield Decretals.

The manuscript, created in France some time between 1300 and 1340 consists of a collection of papal letters and decrees that deal with church laws and doctrines. The artist clearly had a vivid imagination!
