Riding a hoverboard is a risky business... as a TV presenter learnt when he lost his balance and toppled to the ground.

Juan Carlos Alarcon, a star in Chile, appeared on the Your Morning programme to try out some Christmas gift ideas in a toy shop.

The presenter boldly opted to ride a hoverboard in the shop and initially wheels confidently around. Holding his microphone in one hand, he keeps talking to a minimum.

However, Alarcon loses all credibility as he loses his balance and lands flat on his bottom when the electric skateboard suddenly flies out from underneath him.

 The cameraman and other spectators can be heard having a hearty laugh at his expense as the red-faced presenter rolls himself back onto his feet. Despite the pain he no doubt experienced, Alarcon still manages to crack a smile as he tries to regain his composure.
