Reconnects with wartime love after 71 years !

A 93-year-old widowed World War II veteran from Virginia was reunited on Skype this week with his first love after 71 years of being apart.

Norwood Thomas met Joyce Morris (maiden name Durrant) just outside of London in the spring of 1944 when he was a bright-eyed 21-year-old and Morris was just 17.

Thomas' son Steven Thomas and Morris' son Robert Morris set up a Skype call for their parents who hadn't laid eyes on each other since they were young lovers and the pair rekindled a friendship that started in the 1940s.

Morris now lives in Australia. The re-connection was sparked after Morris asked her son if it was possible to find people on the internet and the two of them were able to find Thomas on the news because he had gone skydiving at 88-years-old.
