New Yorkers will try just about anything, but a new psychic in Brooklyn who claims to be able to divine her client's fortunes by examining their used wax strips may be pushing even the city’s most easy-going residents to the limit.

After spotting a flyer posted in her Clinton Hill neighborhood advertising 'used wax strip fortune telling', Refinery29 Beauty Director Megan McIntyre decided she needed to know more about the dubious practice, so she contacted the psychic herself.

Megan emailed the address on the flyer asking how the fortune telling worked, and soon got a response saying: 'The strips told us you would be in touch.
