Lost Trying to Find!

A Birmingham police officer looking for an individual who had called for help ended up lost with that person in the woods for nearly three hours Thursday, the officer, who has not been identified, responded to a call on Castleberry Way near Cherry Avenue. 

The individual who called said he was being chased by two men with guns. Men with guns were not found, but the person who had called for help fled into the woods for safety. The officer entered the thick and went into the area to find him. 

The K9 unit assisted in searching for the two and then the two were found and exited then woods near an industrial site on Daniel Payne Drive, roughly half a mile away. Neither was injured. Lesson learn, never enter the woods alone after someone!
